  1. Choose your preferred social media platform. Facebook and LinkedIn are great examples.
  2. Learn and apply a lead generation technique that actually works.
  3. Commit for a specified period of time.
  4. Scale up by applying paid advertising strategies.

How To Generate Leads For Your Network Marketing Business Using Social Media is simple.

But it is not easy.

It is simple because you can learn one effective technique for example – and then repeat this technique over and over and over again. And get great results.

It is not easy because of this one thing: People focus on results, when they see little or no results, especially at the beginning, they QUIT.

Here’s the thing.

The first step is to generate the leads. I will show you how to do that in this post.

The next step is to CONVERT the leads. You will need to convert your new leads into either customers or distributors. Converting leads is not the same as GENERATING leads. I show you how to convert your network marketing leads in this post.

Generate leads first and then convert them later. Then you will see results. That is, some of your Leads will go on to become your customers or your new Distributors.

PART 1

Step One – Choose your preferred platform.

Decide what social media platform you are going to use. I focus on Facebook and YouTube. You can do the same or you can use other social media platforms such as LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram or Twitter.

There are differences between the platforms. One obvious difference is the level of interaction required.

If you decide to use YouTube to generate leads, you will predominantly be delivering video content and responding to comments from your viewers / subscribers.

If you decide to use Facebook as your platform, you will predominantly be delivering content as well as responding to comments as well as responding to messages. In fact, the more interactive you are on Facebook, the better.

In you can, focus solely on one platform until you are happy with it. Focus on one platform until your are able to generate leads consistently from that platform and then you can consider moving on to another platform.

Step Two – Learn a technique

Learn a Technique to Generate leads on the platform that you have chosen to learn. The basic technique on most social media platforms is the same. I will use my CLAM Facebook technique as an example.

  1. Comment on a post that you find relevant.
  2. Like the post.
  3. Add the person posting to your Friends list by sending an invitation.
  4. Message them with a complement and a question in order to start a conversation and build rapport.

Step 3 – Commit yourself

Commit to a period of consistency. We’re not talking short term here either.  Think 1 year or 18 months or 2 years as a minimum.

Most people on social media will not do business unless they know you, like you and trust you. So as you can see, it will take multiple contacts with the same person, possibly over several days before they transition to becoming your customer or joining you as a Distributor.

Add to this the fact that if you want to consistently add several customers to your business and if you want several Distributors to join your business, you will need to keep going consistently for several, several months.

Step 4. Scaling Up

Generating leads online for your network marketing business has 2 significant advantages versus generating leads offline.

First, there are BILLIONS of people online so you have access to endless leads. No matter where you are in the world or what time of day or night it is, someone somewhere will have a conversation with you if both of you are willing. This is therefore a very flexible method of lead generation: the ability to generate leads anytime, anywhere.

The second is scalability. Not only can you generate leads at anytime and from anywhere, with an effective advertising campaign, you can reach thousands of prospective customers or prospective Distributors quickly. And if you train your Distributors to do the same, you could possibly have one of the fastest growing teams in your organisation.

To launch paid advertising strategy you need 2 things

  1. An advert
  2. A budget

Yes, it truly is that simple.

Copywriting is the art of writing good adverts (good copy) and I discuss good copywriting for network marketing here.

Never, ever think that you do not have a budget to advertise YOUR own business. Set you budget small at first if you must. Most people can afford $50 per year to get started building and promoting their Network Marketing business. You can do this too.

Then take a part time job to pay for more ads. As you make money in your network marketing business, invest your earnings back into your business. Scale up your advertising budget and scale up your business. Increase from $50 per year to $50 per month spent on advertising your network marketing business to $50 per week to $50 per day to $50 per hour spent on advertising.

Advertising your network marketing business on social media.

Advertising your network marketing business on social media can be easy as pie or it can be complicated as hell. I know because I’ve been there.

The simplest way to promote my network marketing business on social media that I have found is to use Facebook and create a FACEBOOK PAGE. Facebook pages are similar to a normal Facebook profile. The important difference is that posts on Facebook pages have a BOOST button next to them. This BOOST button is visible only to the page owner.

If you press the BOOST button located next to your post on your Facebook page, Facebook will take you through a simple process where for a small sum eg $7 or so, maybe more, maybe less,  you can allow Facebook to show your post to A LOT MORE PEOPLE than would otherwise have seen you post.

A Facebook BOOSTED post on a Facebook page is effectively an Ad shown to other Facebook users. Of course you can set your budget for boosting your posts according to your circumstances.

Now here’s another thing: You can choose who you want to see your Ad. If there are a lot of working mums in your network marketing opportunity then it makes sense to boost your post such that it is seen by thousands of working mums in your area. Does that make sense?
